I had to replay the intro a couple times...he said “In 1998" and clearly meant 1988.

And it’s scary to me to think that there are people for whom there is very little distinction. Probably about like how I see 1967 and 1957. “ Whatever, rock around the clock, segregation, the Beatles, etc.”

Yeah I picked up on that too...but wasn't sure whether it was intentional or not given the rest of the shots and moves in the intro were riffs on other metal videos...

I'm a fan and have contributed via their crowdfunding but have never seen them live...and probably never will. Don't go near cities very often...
